Connections to other commuter and rail trains that operate in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware can be made at Wilmington or at the 30th Street Station in Philadelphia. Or patrons may wait for selected Route 5 buses which, for a toll, will take them to the Park.
The Security Officer on duty at the booth will call Valet Parking at Delaware Park and the shuttle bus will be dispatched to pick up patrons. There are two ways to get to the Racetrack/Casino from the train station: The SEPTA booth by the stairs to the station is manned from approximately 6:15 AM to 7:30 PM. Each train makes 22 intermediate stops on the R2 line including North Broad Street and 30th Street Philadelphia, Darby, Chester, Claymont and Wilmington. Between 6:17 AM and 6:47 PM there are nine trains that run from Norristown to Newark. Between 6:28 AM and 7:21 PM there are ten trains that operate from Newark to Norristown. To visit Delaware Park by train: The station is serviced by the R2 SEPTA train that runs between Newark and Elm Street Norristown, PA five days a week. It is called Fairplay Station or Churchman’s Crossing Station. There is a rail and bus complex on the grounds at Delaware Park.
